In Florals – French Bouquet

{A Love Affair}
Moments captured by Michelle Johnson Photography
Ok, lets just say,,,i had my own little love affair with this wedding.
the colors, flowers, that wedding dress….the bride and groom.
they had it all…Exquis …{french for Outstanding, superb}
The ceremony took place at Mariners Church, filled with its rich woods and beautiful natural light, lots of candles in which, cast a soft romantic hue
over the ceremony – it was breathtaking.
I love to watch as much as I can of the ceremony…without getting noticed
. however: I find myself inching forward to hear every spoken word of love and commitment…eventually; finding myself filling in an empty spot next to the Aunt of somebody.
Its why we florist of the wedding industry do what and why we do.
its why we hit the flower mart at 3am in the morning and
get each detail to the wedding as near perfect as humanly able.
We have a love affair for love affairs…plain and simple.

{Great Expectations in Love}
The love story of Vicky and Sam is no way related to
the Great Expectations written by Dickens.
Their story is filled with the expectations of nothing short of a future filled with adventure and a life of everlasting friendship and love.

(incredible love)
Just at this moment a circumstance, the most unexpected, the most extraordinary and incredible…
definition of incredible by web dictionary

When Lauren and her Mother, Sheryl, walked in to my home –
they were both booming with excitement and enthusiasm for the upcoming wedding of
 Lauren and Jose.
 They are women of strength and culture…they knew what they loved from the get go…
{great food, great wine and great friends}
Who doesn’t want that?
 but what set them apart
was the bonding in which they held for the love of travel-tasting-toasting their way across Europe,
the attachment of emotions between them and a life long friendship.
 They were more like sisters who have traveled the world and back and had seen and been through much together.
their friendship of Mother Daughter was sweet and endearing….and
I found myself wanting to book a trip with my Mum after they left.

Here we are after a successful meeting of ideas, mockups and lots of excitement….Cheers

And then, enters Jose!
A Smile to melt the world, handsome and smart with a look in his eye, that says it all
{I am totally in love with this woman}
DONE!

We wanted to set their wedding style with color and elegance, soft colored linens mixed with deep brown boxes filled with lush flowers of color.
Lots of candle light, woodsy and fun, but elegant and classic at the same time
I chose burgundy peonies, fresh lavender, sweet basil, poppies, and a gathering of all types of texture…wrapped loose and full with burlap and buttons.  To me the bouquet speaks of the bride and her path to follow….colorful, deep, heart felt love in the center and fun and dramatic on the outside.
its fun
 By Far my favorite all time favorite photo!!!
